Amazon has introduced Transparency-enabled barcodes and serial numbers to better track inventory and ensure product authenticity. If you're selling Transparency-enabled products on Amazon, it's crucial to correctly label them with Transparency codes or brand-issued serial number barcodes. Here's how to identify, manage, and upload Transparency codes or serial numbers for your orders:
**Identifying Transparency-enabled serial numbers on a product:**
Transparency-enabled products will have a serial number applied to the product packaging. These codes can be in different formats, but the most common are:
- A 26-digit alpha-numeric identifier beginning with AZ: or ZA:
- A Serialized Global Trade Item Number (SGTIN).
If you cannot find a code with a T logo, look for a serial number code that is between 7 and 20 characters long, which can be a 1D, 2D, or QR code.
**Identifying Transparency-enabled items in customer orders:**
You can identify Transparency-enabled items in two ways:
- Look for a blue Transparency badge or an orange serial number required badge on the "Manage Orders" page in Seller Central.
- Enable the "Transparency" column in Order reports. If the "is-Transparency" field is set to "True" in the report, you must upload Transparency codes or serial numbers when confirming the shipment.
**Uploading Transparency codes or serial numbers:**
You can use a shipping confirmation file to upload Transparency codes or serial numbers. Follow these steps:
1. Go to the Orders tab in Seller Central and select "Upload order-related files" from the drop-down menu.
2. Under "Prepare your shipping confirmation file," click "Download template."
3. Populate the template and upload it.
Alternatively, you can manually upload Transparency codes or serial numbers in Seller Central:
1. Go to "Manage Orders" to identify orders with Transparency or serial number badges.
2. Click on the order number to access the Order details page.
3. Click "Buy shipping" or "Confirm shipment" to open a new section.
4. Enter your Transparency codes or serial numbers in the provided section.
5. Click the "Enter Transparency codes or serial numbers" link.
6. Proceed with shipping your order.
If you confirm shipments using Amazon MWS (Marketplace Web Service), you can use the SubmitFeed API to upload Transparency codes for Transparency ASINs. For serial numbered products, upload the serial numbers on the "Order details" page or using the shipping confirmation file.
Remember that the number of Transparency codes or serial numbers you upload must match the quantity of Transparency-enabled items in your order. Ensure compliance with these requirements to effectively manage and track your Transparency-enabled products on Amazon.
