Contacting buyers regarding specific orders is an essential part of providing good customer service on Amazon. Here are the steps to send a message related to a specific order using Seller Central or your email client:
**Using Seller Central:**
1. Go to the "Orders" menu in Seller Central and select "Manage Orders."
2. Locate the order that you want to contact the buyer about in the order list.
3. In the "Order Details" column, click the name of the buyer associated with the order. This action will open the "Contact Buyer" page.
4. On the "Contact Buyer" page, you'll see a list of contact reasons. Select an appropriate contact reason that matches the nature of your message.
5. Complete the message you want to send to the buyer.
6. Click the "Send" button to deliver your message to the buyer.
**Using Your Email Client:**
1. In your email client, compose the message you want to send to the buyer regarding a specific order.
2. Include the word "[Important]" (with brackets as shown) anywhere in the subject line of your email. For example, the subject line should look like "[Important] Need additional information."
- **Note**: The word "important" must be enclosed in brackets to be effective, and you can use either capital or lowercase letters.
3. Send the email to the buyer's email address.
- **Note**: Using "[Important]" for non-critical messages may lead to the suspension of your selling privileges. Therefore, it's important to use this marking only for messages related to order completion.
Amazon does not block messages that are necessary for completing an order. If your message was blocked, it might be because the buyer has opted out of non-critical messages from sellers, or Amazon treats the selected contact reason as one that is not critical for completing the order.
When contacting buyers, ensure that your messages are clear, concise, and focused on order-related or customer service matters. Avoid including unsolicited marketing or promotional content in your messages.
