The Pricing Status section in the Price + Shipping column on the Manage Inventory page is a valuable tool for sellers on Amazon. It provides information about how your product's price compares to various pricing benchmarks, helping you make informed pricing decisions. Here's what each of these comparisons means:
1. **Featured Offer Price:**
- The Featured Offer is the offer at the top of a product detail page, and it's the first choice for buyers when they click the "Buy Now" or "Add to Cart" button.
- Sellers must meet specific performance-based requirements, including competitive pricing, to be eligible to compete for Featured Offer placement.
- In the Pricing Status section, if your Price + Shipping is less than or equal to the Featured Offer price, you will see a green check mark. This indicates that your price is competitive with the Featured Offer.
2. **Competitive Price:**
- The Competitive Price represents the lowest price for the same item from other major retailers outside of Amazon.
- It does not include prices from other sellers within the Amazon marketplace.
- To be considered competitively priced, your Price + Shipping must be less than or equal to this external competitive price.
- If your price meets this criteria, you will see a green check mark next to the Competitive Price, indicating that your price is competitive with external retailers.
3. **Lowest Price on Amazon:**
- The Lowest Price on Amazon is the current lowest price for the product within the Amazon marketplace.
- This price takes into account factors such as listing condition (new or used) and fulfillment method (Fulfillment by Amazon, Merchant Fulfilled, etc.).
- In the Pricing Status section, if your Price + Shipping is less than or equal to the Lowest Price on Amazon, you will see a green check mark, indicating that your price is competitive with the lowest-priced offer on Amazon.
The presence of a green check mark suggests that your price is competitive with the respective benchmark, which can be a positive indicator for your listing. If you see a red cross instead of a green check mark, it means that your price is higher than the benchmark in question. In such cases, you may want to consider adjusting your pricing strategy to remain competitive and attract potential buyers.
