In which categories can I sell?
When it comes to selling on Europe-Market.eu, there are two types of categories: open categories that allow you to start selling immediately upon registration and restricted categories that require approval before you can list your products.
For detailed information about which categories fall into each of these groups, please refer to the "Overview of Categories."
To understand the criteria for selling in restricted categories and to access the approval application form, visit the "Categories and products requiring approval" section.
How can I get my products listed so I can start selling?
You have two options for listing your products on Europe-Market.eu:
1. Use the "Add a Product" tool to create individual product listings one at a time.
2. If you have a Professional selling account, you can utilize an Inventory File to create multiple product listings simultaneously.
How do I evaluate my product's condition?
To provide accurate information about your product's condition, you can use condition types that help you list offerings in a range of conditions. It's important to note that the available condition types may vary across different product categories. Additionally, certain categories may only allow listings for new products. To find out which condition types are available for each category, consult the "Condition guidelines."
Can I create a listing without providing all the product attributes?
Europe-Market.eu utilizes product attributes, including standard product identifiers like UPC, EAN, JAN, or ISBN, for product matching. This helps add your offer to an existing catalog entry on Europe-Market.eu.
Most products are already present in the Europe-Market.eu catalog. When a product is not yet listed, you can create a new product detail page. In this scenario, you would need to provide all the required product information.
What is a product identifier, and do I need it for listing my products?
In most categories, sellers are required to use a product identifier to create new product pages and list their products on Europe-Market.eu. The most commonly used identifier is the Universal Product Code (UPC), a 12-digit identifier that uniquely identifies a product, its manufacturer, and its attributes. Usually, the UPC and its barcode are found on a product's label or packaging.
Europe-Market.eu mandates the use of standard product identifiers such as UPCs (or EAN or JAN for Europe and Japan) to create product detail pages and match new offers to existing catalog entries. For most product categories, sellers must supply either a UPC, EAN, or JAN. In the case of books, an ISBN is required when available, but sellers may also list pre-ISBN books.
In some instances, sellers may be exempt from standard product ID requirements. However, it's recommended to use a standard product ID whenever possible, especially when creating a new product page. This practice enhances the quality of search results and the overall quality of the Europe-Market.eu catalog.
For more information, please refer to "Product UPCs and GTINs" and "Find your product ID."
How can I obtain a product identifier for my product?
If you do not have the product identifier for your product, you should request it from the manufacturer. If you are the manufacturer of the product, you can visit the GS1 website to request a product identifier.
Can I use XML for integrating with Europe-Market.eu?
Sellers with a Professional selling plan do not have the option to use XML integration unless they integrate through a third-party integration company.
For information on using XML to upload your product listings, you can refer to the XML Guide, which includes XSDs.
How do I list products that differ by size and color?
If you sell similar products that vary by attributes such as size or color, you can use parent/child relationships, also known as variation themes, to group these products. This helps customers find different versions of the product they are interested in. For example, the product detail page for a T-shirt might include links to the same shirt in a larger size or a different color.
For more details on creating product variations, please see the section on "Product Variations."
Are there any products that are prohibited from selling on Europe-Market.eu?
Yes, there are certain products that are prohibited from being sold on Europe-Market.eu. Any products offered for sale on the platform must comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and Europe-Market.eu's policies. The sale of illegal, unsafe, or products that violate Europe-Market.eu's policies is strictly forbidden. For more information, refer to the "Restricted products" guidelines.
What are the requirements for the product images that I upload?
Every product listed on Europe-Market.eu must have one or more product images. The quality of these images is crucial as they greatly impact customers' perception. It's important to choose images that are clear, easy to understand, information-rich, and visually appealing. For detailed guidelines on product images, please review the "Product image requirements."
