ngredients:
Sourdough bread slices: 4
Gruyere cheese, sliced: 1 cup
Cheddar cheese, sliced: 1 cup
Fig jam: 1/4 cup
Butter: 2 tablespoons
Arugula leaves: For garnish
Instructions:
Spread fig jam on one side of each sourdough bread slice.
Place Gruyere and cheddar cheese slices on half of the bread slices (non-jam side).
Top with the remaining bread slices, jam side down, to create sandwiches.
In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
Grill the sandwiches until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted, about 3-4 minutes per side.
Remove from the skillet and let them rest for a minute.
Slice each sandwich diagonally and garnish with fresh arugula leaves.
